A Child's Practical Guide To Monsters
Monsters are all unique, and they require personalized solutions. A Child’s Practical Guide to Monsters explores different breeds of monsters and how we can deal with them.
This book was illustrated by nine different artists in Ukraine, featuring different art styles.
We start with the need to categorize our monsters. They're not all the same. We need to know strategies to deal with the different kinds.
Some monsters thrive on attention. Deprive them of attention, and they just deflate.
There are others that you'll need to tell a trusted person about, and otherwise avoid.
And some just need to be reasoned with...
... and some you basically just need to fight, in any way you can.
Once you know how to deal with a particular kind of monster, tell others. Help them avoid the monster. Remember any lessons for next time.
It probably goes without saying, but we're not talking about literal monsters here. We're talking about bullies... or actual bad people... or situations that are just frustrating... or illnesses... or even opportunities that initially look intimidating, like a difficult test or a big pile of homework...
